Director

With an uncompromising approach to the very highest quality design, Nicki guides creative strategy and nurtures the culture of innovation and care for detail. With an innate ability to see the strategic ‘big picture’ beyond the immediate brief, Nicki adds value and finds creative solutions from dawn to dusk (and often beyond!).

Nicki enjoys both travel and leisure photography but work and family demands ensure her suitcases and camera are more neglected than she would like!

Serena Beirne MBA  MMgmt (MGSM)

General Manager

Serena has a wealth of experience in the management of creative-led firms and driven the success of firms across many industries including fashion, travel and wine through the use of strategic thinking. Her design leadership philosophy is to empower great people to have a good time while doing amazing work.

Serena's after hours passions are her young family and the relentless weekend pursuit of the perfect combination of Australian wine, cheese, olives and good company.

Sarah McCarthy-James

Associate / Account Manager

Sarah's highly-developed project management skills and natural organisational capabilities make her the ideal person to oversee even the most complex and multi-faceted challenges. Approachable and totally dependable, she is a great communicator with a natural friendliness and responsiveness to what is needed in any situation.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys dabbling with interior design and decorating.

Ton Ha BDes(GD)  BBiomedSc

Senior Designer

Bringing an analytical and reasoned approach to his design, Ton is a considerate, tenacious and positive team player. He holds qualifications in both right and left brain disciplines and is an evangelist for the branding possibilities in the digital world. He takes on whatever needs to be done and enjoys problem-solving and finding an even better solution than expected.

In his spare time Ton always has a camera in hand and is a master of the candid shot. When not climbing the walls searching for great creative solutions for our clients he is literally climbing walls when indulging in his passion for parkour.

Angelina Martinez BFA  BA(Com Des)

Senior Designer

Angelina's design career has seen her work in a variety of creatively fertile environments, most notably the Queensland Art Gallery where Angelina was responsible for a variety of amazing publications, signage and promotional materials.

She lives with her husband on a delightful property in the hills north of Brisbane where she spends her time off gardening, reading from her extensive collection of books and playing second fiddle to her demanding furkids (British shorthair cats). She haunts vintage fairs for furniture and is currently in pursuit of the perfect short course in upholstery.

Natalie Brockett BPhty  BDes(VCD)  L2 Japanese

Designer

Natalie brings an international perspective to her work as a designer after spending several years living and working in Japan. This exhibits itself in her work through her ordered and intricate approach that adds to her success as a talented design all rounder. Natalie is also a gifted illustrator who delights her team mates with her refined and polished illustrations.

Natalie's visual talents are also evident in her unique photographic work and it is the study of photography that currently absorbs much of her leisure time. She frequently travels back to Japan and on her return the entire studio lies in wait for the yummy Japanese sweets and pantry items she brings back with her.

Nik Kaiser BDes(VCD)

Creative Services Coordinator

Nik is an integral member of the Lloyd Grey team. He's a qualified designer with business administration talents too, and this great combination of skills supports our design teams on major projects, as well as allowing him to manage his own design jobs. Nik has an exhaustive (or exhausting) list of out of hours pursuits ranging from debating to indie band management. This young chameleon is a powerhouse of energy and enthusiasm and this vitality makes him a great asset to Lloyd Grey.

Tim Grey BA(Hons)  MDIA

Director

Tim fervently believes in the potential and value of fine design founded in a deep understanding of business needs – and he is unstinting in making that potential a reality for each client.

Outside the studio, Tim has numerous other projects on the go, including playing guitar, painting and making ‘interesting things’ in the garage.

Julie Bebbington BDes

Design Director

Our design director Julie Bebbington is passionate about the use of visual communications to achieve business objectives. Julie has had a long career in bringing strategy to life through engaging and thoughtful graphic design campaigns that connect and resonate with their target markets.

Julie is also a talented baker whose sweet treats are a constant temptation to her work colleagues. You can often find her hunting down the perfect Danish lounge suite or side table in antique stores or garage sales and there is about a 95% chance on any given day that she will be wearing beautifully tailored, simply elegant black clothes.

Adele Clay DipGD(Bus)

Account Manager

Adele is tireless in the pursuit of great client outcomes. With her background as a designer, she is the rarest breed of Account Manager, one who truly understands and empathises with the creative process.

Adele's spirit of adventure last year saw her move to the Northern Territory for a 12 month period to work for a significant Indigenous art centre

Adele is the studio mother hen who gets us organised. She sorts our social events, good naturedly nags us about recycling and bribes her co-workers with home made treaties that somehow cater to a whole studio's complex dietary requirements while still tasting fantastic!

Wendy Streatfield BA(Music)

Senior Designer

With a background in the most creative of disciplines, classical music, Wendy brings cadence and delicacy to her practice as a Senior Designer by marrying her innate musical creativity with design-led thinking. Wendy also has a strong connection to nature, holding horticultural qualifications and a love for the outdoors. This intriguing mix of pursuits enhances Wendy's ability to produce design outcomes that are deeper and more meaningful than the competition in an increasingly commodotised world.

She is officially the studio livewire – injecting energy, enthusiasm and great humour into the studio family atmosphere.

Rachel Spearritt BDes(GD)

Senior Designer

Rachel is never happier than when she is immersed in a meaty design project from start to finish. A talented designer, she is a raving fan of the Creative Process in her pursuit of just the right creative solution for clients.

Rachel embodies the concept of yin and yang and embraces that philosophy with two of her greatest loves – one of which is baking sweet things and then devouring them while the other is keeping fit at the gym. A truly balanced combination!

Laura Strange BDes(VCD)

Junior Designer

With a background in television graphics, Laura brings fresh perspective to the LGD design team. Laura’s thirst for learning and desire to make her mark has seen her quickly become a key contributor on some of LGD’s latest exciting projects.

Laura is dedicated to the search for amazing and
unique skyscraping footwear and is an avid music fan. Fortunately for the rest of the LGD team, she also loves
to bake!
