Attune Hearing

Attune Hearing, founded by ENT specialists, is dedicated to providing audiological care to the highest medical, ethical and scientific standards. Previously known as Queensland Hearing, the organisation was commonly mistaken for a government organisation or a division of Queensland Health.

Lloyd Grey Design’s challenge was to create a new name, positioning statement, trademark and brand strategy. Our brief was to develop a positive, lifestyle brand to eliminate the stigma of hearing loss.

We went to the heart of the matter with a focus on the evocative pleasures of hearing, such as the delicate sound of summer rain, the strumming of an acoustic guitar or the resonant sound of temple bells.

The new brandmark reflected the resonance of sound waves and we extended the theme by creating additional sound-wave symbols to reflect important sounds heard in everyday life. Combined with arresting photography, the symbols and images tell a powerful story.

The brand identity included a retail rollout across six sites, a signage system, uniform design, website design, brochures and GP kits. Attune continues to live the spirit of its new identity and sets the benchmark in an extremely competitive field.
